Jøtul F 163 inngår i F 160-serien som består av seks hovedvarianter, med eller uten sideglass og med forskjellige understell. Jøtul F 163 karakteriseres av sine store sideglass og tre stødige ben som gir ovnen et lett og moderne preg, samt mulighetene til å velge mellom en overflate i sort lakk eller i vedlikeholdsfri hvit emalje. Man har mulighet til å bygge på med en dekorativ og varmelagrende topp i kleberstein, som gjør at ovnen magasinerer mer av varmen mens det er gang i bålet. Ovnen er tilpasset moderne boliger og er egnet for fyring på lav effekt. Den brenner optimalt allerede fra 3 kW.
